About The Role

The Role

As a Floor Layer, you will be a vital part of our delivery team, utilising your experience and core skill to lay floors efficiently and accurately. Your premium skills in attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving will ensure high-quality workmanship and timely project completion. With relevant skills in using hand tools, carpentry, interpreting work specifications and operating power tools. You will contribute to creating safe and visually appealing spaces. Join our team and showcase your expertise in floor installation to help us deliver exceptional results to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings.  
  • Installations such as sheet vinyl to level access shower areas and luxury vinyl tiles.
  • Carrying out floor preparation work, such as screeding and installation of ply board to provide a suitable surface to lay final floor covering.
  • Measure and cut materials to fit specific areas accurately
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and fitting materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Working across various environments, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Craft City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2.
  • Proven experience as a Floor Layer or similar role
  • Proficient in using power tools for cutting and shaping materials
  • Knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques
  • Appropriate CSCS card
  • Asbestos Awareness
